So that’s that then. The January transfer window has come and gone, perhaps best summed up by the news that Manchester United have agreed a loan deal for Bolton youngster Andy Kellett to complete the month’s dealings. Rewind five months and that last minute-transfer to Old Trafford was Radamel Falcao.
This transfer window will probably go down as one of the most underwhelming in recent memory, with the often overhyped deadline day failing to live up to its billing, like a heavyweight championship bout cut short in the first round or, in this case perhaps, cancelled altogether due to a toe injury.
