PSG must go up to another level vs. Chelsea: Blanc

Paris St Germain coach Laurent Blanc leads a training session at the Camp des Loges training center in Saint-Germain-en-Laye, near Paris By Julien Pretot PARIS (Reuters) - Paris St Germain must be ruthless in front of goal when they take on 2012 winners Chelsea in a Champions League quarter-final first leg on Wednesday, according to coach Laurent Blanc. The Ligue 1 champions-elect are on an eight-game winning streak in all competitions but the former France center back knows Chelsea, under Jose Mourinho, have the experience and defensive know-how to strangle any opposition. "We will have to be more efficient," said Blanc. "We know we need to be at another level," he added of the Parc des Princes clash.

Chelsea's quarter-final of the Champions League will see them confront a Paris Saint-Germain side who believe they have the quality to claim a first European Cup this season, with the runaway French league leaders undaunted by the prospect of taking on José Mourinho's side on Wednesday.

Chelsea travel to France on Tuesday and will train at Parc des Princes, scene of Mourinho's first European game in charge of the club a decade ago. That match was won 3-0 with Petr Cech, Frank Lampard and John Terry survivors from the tie though PSG are transformed these days, bankrolled by Qatari billions with Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Edinson Cavani spearheading their attack and Thiago Silva and Marco Verratti offering strength and quality down the spine of the team.
