West Ham have been offered Samuel Eto'o but will have to pay the Cameroon star £100,000 a week if they want him to replace the injured Andy Carroll. Eto'o has been a free agent since Chelsea decided not to extend his stay at Stamford Bridge beyond the end of last season. Sam Allardyce is desperate to add to the Hammers' forward line after Carroll was ruled out for up to four months with an ankle injury. Eto'o, who is also on the radar of former Hammers boss Harry Redknapp at newly-promoted QPR, would represent a gamble by Hammers' owners David Sullivan and David Gold, not least because of his age.
