Redknapp: Fabio Borini's High Wage Demands Forced QPR to End Interest in Signing Liverpool Forward Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp has revealed his side ended their interest in signing Fabio Borini due to Liverpool forward's high wage demands. The 23-year-old spent the last season on loan at Sunderland and was constantly linked with a move to the Stadium of Light on a permanent transfer. The former Tottenham Hotspur manager was looking for a Loic Remy replacement after the French international completed his switch to Chelsea in the final days of the window. Redknapp had set his sights on Borini and Liverpool allowed their player to discuss with the Hoops.
