Costa expected to join Spain squad for Euro 2016 qualifiers

Diego Costa has declared himself fit to start for Chelsea against Arsenal on Sunday despite his recent hamstring problems but the Brazilian-born forward is anxious to avoid a war between club and country over his availability for Spains Euro 2016 qualifiers starting next week.
The £32m signing from Atlético Madrid has scored eight goals in six Premier League appearances but has struggled to play twice in four days after complaining of tightness in his left hamstring. Costa had withdrawn from the Spain squad for their qualifier against Macedonia last month having tweaked the thigh in a friendly defeat by France and Chelsea subsequently left him out of their starting line-up for the opening Champions League group game against Schalke and the Capital One Cup tie against Bolton.
