Tottenham Reach Wembley After Sheffield Draw

Tottenham Reach Wembley After Sheffield Draw Two Christian Eriksen goals booked Tottenham's place in the Capital One Cup final as they overcame a spirited Sheffield United comeback to draw 2-2 at Bramall Lane. Leading 1-0 from the first leg, Spurs took another step towards a final with Chelsea after Eriksen's stunning free-kick on 28 minutes appeared to have put the tie beyond the reach of Nigel Clough's League One side. The Blades struggled to create any real chances of note, but with 15 minutes to play, two goals in two minutes from substitute Che Adams turned the tie on its head and looked to have sent the game into extra-time. Fellow substitute Louis Reed had a glorious chance to send the Blades through, but it was to be Eriksen who would have the last word as he guided Spurs' second of the evening past Mark Howard with two minutes remaining.
